Tax Services Senior - Real Estate Tax The candidate will support multiple tax projects simultaneously and provide quality tax-planning services to diverse clients in a fast-paced environment. Will demonstrate an understanding of and ability to master increasingly complex tax concepts. Demonstrate technical real estate tax and transactional skills, and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Demonstrate knowledge of the real estate business. Provide high-quality client service. Support special projects such as memoranda, opinions, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the Internal Revenue Service or Treasury Department and review real estate-related agreements. Build technical competencies by keeping current on trends, developments and technical authorities, while applying them to complex situations. Help develop and guide staff by providing effective performance feedback and making certain team responsibilities are consistent with skills and goals. Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and 4+ years of related work experience OR a Graduate degree in Tax or Law and 3 years of related work experience. A valid US CPA or progress toward a CPA license or licensed attorney designation is required. Must have 3+ years of broad related tax consulting experience in business or industry. Experience in tax compliance, partnership taxation, real estate investment trusts, partnership allocations, acquisition planning and structuring a plus. Experience with a diverse client group (e.g., developer or owner, publicly traded real estate investment trusts, private equity, opportunity funds, pension funds and hotels) a plus. Should have proficiency with data mining tools.
