Law Firm
Summer Associate
Litigation - Foreclosure (Lender-side)
Summer Associate Program, 2017 The firm hosts a nine-week program that includes ample training and significant client contact for our summer associates. Each summer associate is able to work on a variety of projects and with many practice groups. A summer associate may choose work assignments from any practice area of interest, either through the firm's work-assignment database or directly from attorneys. May be asked to draft board-meeting minutes, articles of incorporation, venture financing documents, closing documents for transactions, and answers to complaints. May also attend board meetings, depositions, judicial proceedings, IPO drafting sessions, and client meetings. Summer associates are invited to attend practice group meetings, trainings, and events, which provide ample opportunity to interact with practice group leaders. Summer associates interested in litigation can help case teams prepare for depositions, summary judgment hearings, and appellate arguments. The summer associates can also generally attend the depositions, hearings, and other oral arguments for which they helped prepare. Summer associates interested in our corporate and securities practice can attend IPO drafting sessions and help with due diligence, lock-up tracking, and other IPO-related work. Other examples of corporate assignments include attending a board meeting and drafting minutes, or attending a new client meeting and preparing incorporation documents and Series A financing agreements.
