Senior Counsel - Operations Responsibilities: Will provide services to the entire company. Will work on all commercial operations matters of the business. Principal responsibility will be contract drafting, negotiation and administration. Will be called upon to contribute in a variety of areas, including, without limitation partnering with company leaders to meet the needs of the company; creating and maintaining contract forms; creating, maintaining and enforcing corporate policies; developing, conducting and managing training programs for sales, purchasing and other departments to best ensure legal compliance and protection of company's interests in all transactions. Working with business development on new company initiatives and new brand partnerships and overseeing commercial litigation matters. Assisting in ongoing business relationships with retailers, distributors, licensees, suppliers and other business partners. Managing other law department personnel, including more junior attorneys and paralegals. Interacting with and managing, as appropriate, outside counsel. Qualification Requirements: Must be licensed to practice and in good standing in one or more states, preferably Massachusetts or Vermont. Should be a corporate attorney with 12+ years of general corporate law experience. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in general commercial contracts, supply and distribution contracts and associated laws. Candidate with extensive work experience with marketing services or supply chain matters will be considered.
