Senior Counsel, Legal and Business Affairs The candidate will join company’s Legal and Business Affairs group. In this role, you will support the SVP in drafting and negotiating the following: Contracts for company strategic initiatives, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships; Contracts for the acquisition of content distribution rights for company; Legal documentation, including term sheets, distribution agreements and ancillary documents related to the acquisition of video, digital and/or games distribution rights from third parties; Contracts for the licensing of distribution rights of video content to third parties; Vendor contracts and content acquisition and distribution agreements in support of consumer-facing digital media products and services; EST and VOD licenses, Internet and mobile content production and licensing agreements, online games distribution agreements, and rights acquisitions and services agreements. Should have J.D. from a top U.S. law school as well as 6 years of relevant experience as an associate in a large law firm practice and/or in-house legal department. Familiarity with digital media platforms and services, social media and technology and related legal issues is strongly preferred. M&A experience is desirable as well.
