Requirements: J.D. degree from a top tier law school A minimum of 5 to 7 years of legal experience with a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department (industry experience strongly preferred) Admitted to and in good standing with the State Bar of California or other State Bar Be passionate about technology and energized by the challenges of serving a dynamic, fast-growing company Be able to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive, “can do” attitude to the workplace and works collaboratively with other members of the Legal team and with internal clients Job Duties: Provide legal support to the management team and advise on all legal and strategic matters (with the assistance of external counsel, if necessary) including corporate structuring and governance, fund raising, equity incentive plan, project financing, real estate, employment, regulatory, and other business matters Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including business development, licensing, joint development, partnership/joint venture, stock/asset purchase, and vendor agreements, etc. Design, implement and monitor company policies, procedures, and training programs for legal and other employment related compliance issues Build close relationships with personnel at supported business units. Actively participate in the development and execution of the company’s business strategies and tactics Build relationship with and manage outside counsels
