Senior Attorney - Legal Affairs The candidate will assist with negotiating, drafting and interpreting sophisticated commercial agreements and reviewing and editing associated technical specifications, including matters related to project development, procurement, construction, engineering and intellectual property rights. Will provide oversight and management and tracking of corporate compliance, including contractual commitments. Provide general legal support for domestic and international projects, including researching applicable laws and regulations, and advising on regulatory and contractual compliance obligations. Assist with drafting and implementing policies and procedures and development of training surrounding contract administration, compliance obligations and contractual requirements. Manage special projects and monitors international and U.S. policies, regulations, legislation and laws. Drafting, negotiating and interpreting complex commercial contracts, letter agreements and other legal documentation, and managing compliance requirements, contractual obligations and dispute resolution related to Universal Creative, the division of Universal Parks and Resorts responsible for the design and development of all Universal resorts, theme parks, attractions and hotels. JD degree or LL.M. degree is required from an accredited law school. Should have 5+ years of post-law school experience, as an attorney, preferably with top-tier law firm or corporate legal department. Must have 3+ years of experience interpreting, negotiating and drafting complex commercial transactions, preferably in the entertainment industry. Prior experience with construction, contract administration and mechanics liens is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience is needed. Member of State Bar (Florida or California preferred). Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skill is needed.
