House Counsel I The candidate will handle lower exposure and/or lower complexity cases with close supervision of the managing attorney and/or other senior level trial attorney. Will develop litigation skills, including the ability to try a basic or uncomplicated case. Directs support staff in the completion of tasks. Counsels and advises clients. Makes routine court appearances. Conducts basic discovery and investigation. Prepares and tries basic cases. Expected to develop strong customer and client relationships. Works towards gaining an understanding of the insurance business, and particularly the Progressive business model. JD degree is required. Member of the Bar in jurisdiction(s) served by specific House Counsel office(s) is required.
