Senior Commercial Title Examiner Candidate will search and examine Florida commercial property titles in accordance with company and local examining procedures to determine the status of title. Compile preliminary reports from searched data and issue commitment based on the title status. Monitor and prioritize work tasks to ensure high individual productivity level. Work closely with senior team members of the commercial production department to continually gain search and examination experience. Write title commitments based on the application of appropriate codes from the title code book. Provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines. Will have daily customer contact. Specialize in commercial/industrial transactions. Candidate must have High School Degree or equivalent. Bachelor's degree is preferred. 5+ years of title examining experience or attorney licensed in the state of Florida is needed. 7+ years of title examining experience is a plus. Must have a general understanding of real estate transactions for the issuance of title insurance policies and familiarity with real estate law. Must possess an ability to leverage modern title production procedures and technology. Must have the ability to locate, accurately compile and interpret information affecting status of title to real property either through the various electronic and/or paper title plants. Proficiency with title plant database systems including DataTrace and DataTree is needed. Functional knowledge of FAST and PACER is required. Proven customer support background and a high level of professionalism is required. Should be proficient in MS Office. Intermediate skills (especially Outlook) are preferred.
