ProfileSenior Vice President of Professional Development & Deputy General Counsel Duties: Will serve as the Association of Realtors’, EXPERT on real estate law. Will provide legal counsel and guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors to ensure maximum protection of its legal rights and to maintain its operations and corporate governance within the limits prescribed by law. Will oversee educational services, including the successful development, quality control, and daily operation of all DPOR-driven Agent and Broker professional development programs including VA, MD, & DC Continuing Education(CE) programs, Pre-Licensing Education, Post Licensing Education, Online Education Programs, Specialty CE Courses, and all NAR Realtor®.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree admitted and in good standing with the Virginia, DC and/or Maryland Bar. Must be a current licensed attorney in Virginia, Maryland and/or DC. 10+ years in the practice of residential real estate Law. 10 years of experience working directly with clients, customers, and/or members. Must be an experienced public speaker/instructor with experience presenting legal materials within a classroom setting. Association or non-profit experience a plus.
