National General Adjuster The candidate will interact with Fortune 500 customers, inspecting, investigating and evaluating large loss commercial property insurance claims. Will work with CEO's, CFO's, and attorneys to represent company. Maintains regular contact with Sr. Claims Management at company. Examine claims forms and other records to determine insurance coverage. Investigate and settle commercial property claims. Manage reserves of $250,000-$10,000,000 dollars and use various methods of investigation and negotiate settlement with insureds within prescribed limits and submit recommendations to supervisor on claims exceeding personal settlement authority.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a J.D. degree and 5+ years of experience in in commercial property claims OR Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in in commercial property claims OR high school diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in commercial property claims. Must obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses. Should have knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment. Knowledge of the legal statutes and procedures is required. Knowledge and skill of claims handling is needed. Experience collaborating across work groups: AIC, SCLA, and CPCU is preferred. Negotiation experience is needed.
