Pro Bono Attorney Candidate's role will focus on developing pro bono opportunities for firm lawyers in select geographic locations across the United States, as well as international pro bono work through the firm’s affiliated nonprofit dedicated to pro bono in underserved regions around the world. Role also will include some opportunity to represent pro bono clients and provide consultation to attorneys working on pro bono cases.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have J.D. degree and 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or legal services provider, including some experience in representing individuals of limited means or nonprofit organizations, general familiarity with poverty law, and exposure or familiarity with global pro bono projects. Prior pro bono practice or experience with an organization that provides legal services to indigent individuals is helpful. Previous international work or travel experience is preferred.
