Public Finance Proposal Specialist

Job Description:

Ballard Spahr is seeking a full-time Proposal Specialist to join our Public Finance Department in the Philadelphia Office.  Our national practice consists of nearly 60 attorneys who represent state and local governments and authorities, nonprofit organizations, investment banks, and banking institutions in virtually every type of municipal bond transaction. 

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the preparation of proposals in response to Requests for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/RFP), and similar procurement requests and assist in the coordination of the response, including writing content, by liaising with other lawyers and administrative departments of the law firm.

Required Skills:

Qualified candidates will be energetic and organized, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. They must possess a proven ability to provide a persuasive writing style that generates interest in firm services and the ability to prioritize work, and exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Required Experience:

A bachelor’s degree with 3+ years' experience in a law firm or other professional services firm plus a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a basic understanding of systems in general are required. Previous proposal writing experience strongly preferred.
