Knowledge & Information Paralegal Duties: Ensuring fee-earners are kept up-to-date with regards to legal developments and local market issues; Managing and delivering training on local law to lawyers and clients; Knowledge Management including knowhow development, templates, intranet resources, library management and knowledge subscriptions; Knowledge enquiries and research; and Thought Leadership, helping the Firm and its lawyers to remain at the forefront of legal practice and thinking. Will be exposed to a range of work across the categories outlined above, across practice areas and across jurisdictions. Will directly contribute to the strong relationships the team shares with both internal and external clients. will have access to our award-winning global Clifford Chance Academy learning and development programme. Will be responsible for handling a wide variety of tasks to support the K&I team as follows: Assisting with the addition of know how items on to the data base and to manage the outstanding tasks relating to the migration; Monitoring current awareness and assisting with producing timely local law updates to the relevant teams; Monitoring and updating the Knowledge intranet pages and topic guides; Managing the regional libraries and book orders; Helping to manage our sophisticated internal training programme; Dealing with English and Arabic legislation and the interpretation of new legislation and provisions; and Local law research requests on an ad hoc basis; Monitoring and updating our local law templates, practice guides, external guides and topic guides; Creating templates and monitoring know how currently held on the database; Supporting our Riyadh and Doha offices and also teams which do not have dedicated K&I support; and Responding to fee earner enquiries on local law.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Significant experience working within a similarly high profile law firm as a paralegal or similar. Knowledge and understanding of local law and the local court system will be an advantage. Should demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills; as well as good commercial awareness. Fluent in both English and Arabic (oral and written). A strong academic history is essential.
