Profile

Paralegal Duties: Will directly report to and works closely with the General Counsel. Perform corporate and business transactional duties for the Legal Department including drafting corporate minutes, keeping track of various legal projects for the legal department, performing corporate and license filings, general researching skills, and compiling and preparing information. Manage and organize client and vendor contracts for Legal Department. Manage and maintain all necessary annual and regular corporate and business licensing on behalf of a global, multi-jurisdictional company (Neveda, Nebraska, Delaware, California, etc.). Assist the General Counsel as necessary with the drafting and management of minute books and records of the Company and its subsidiaries. Perform Internet research and electronic filings on legal and business related matters. Prepare various legal documents for attorney review and approval and use by identifying forms and formats; producing text; proofreading; maintaining document control system. Oversee e-contracts by managing files and documents; coordinating with support services and clients, opposing law firms, and courts; managing legal department case trackers; expediting paper flow; maintaining schedules and deadlines; generating status reports, logs, and indexes; processing settlement papers and payments. Maintain contract database by organizing documents; summarizing, and storing documents; updating system. Organize and schedule multi-party business meetings and/or conference calls and/or handle document deliveries on behalf of the General Counsel. Work with members of the company’s other departments as necessary to support the needs of the other departments and as requested by the General Counsel. From time-to-time, this individual will also be required to perform Executive Assistant responsibilities for key Senior Executives including the General Counsel including: scheduling meetings, calendaring, running errands and making travel arrangements for Senior Corporate Executives including the General Counsel as requested.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification Requirements: Prior corporate paralegal experience, preferably 8-10 years of experience as an in-house corporate paralegal or paralegal at a law firm. Excellent legal administration skills (electronic corporate annual licenses and other business licensing). Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple ongoing projects in a timely manner to meet deadlines as requested by General Counsel.
