Conflicts Attorney The candidate will work with the Director, firm Ethics Partners, and Ethics counsel on conflicts analysis and resolution as needed. Will assist in the development and the implementation of training programs for NBI staff. Will conduct legal research related to conflicts of interest, new business intake, and Firm policies related to the same. Will prepare communications to lawyers and others, clearly identifying all potential issues found in conflict reports to facilitate clearance process.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Juris Doctor and admission the DC bar (active and in good standing). Should have a minimum of 2 years law firm (or other professional services firm) experience in a lawyer role is preferred. Should have at least 2 years conflicts work a law firm and legal, writing, or research experience related to the skills and duties of the position as described is strongly preferred. Should have working knowledge of the DC rules of professional conduct is required. Should have familiarity with computer systems in use at law firms including business intake systems and research systems such as Moody’s, Bureau van Dijk (Orbis, Compliance Catalyst, World Compliance), LexisNexis and others.
