ProfileSenior Research Services Librarian The candidate works independently as a member of a firmwide research team that responds to requests from attorneys, paralegals and staff, to perform wide-ranging research on legal and business issues necessary for client legal services, business development, and firm administration. The Senior Research Services Librarian is responsible for all aspects of analyzing research requests, identifying the best resources of information, conducting the research, and reporting the results of the research in a manner that meets the needs of the requester. Responsibilities include to, the following: provide research expertise and service at all levels of inquiry complexity; train in the use of information resources to attorneys and staff; market research services and current awareness tools through orientations and promotional efforts; and participate in the identification, development, evaluation, and implementation of technological advancements in research or research aids. Requirements for the position include Master of Library Science or J.D. degree; 5 years of research experience in assigned or related field; strong analytical and research skills, and extensive knowledge of a variety of legal and business electronic resources.
