ProfileGlobal Intranet Manager Duties: Responsible for the management, including content management and content administration as you work closely with Global Technology team. Bringing prior experience with intranet management and expertise with SharePoint technology is essential to help us expand and improve our digital internal marketing with the greater goal of having a best in class global marketing presence. Reporting to the Global Director of Digital Marketing and Operations, will work with the digital marketing and marketing technology team to support the technology used to manage and publish market leading content. Will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operation and management of the firm’s SharePoint based intranet. Responsible for the maintenance and content creation for their respective sites. Will also play a key role in the ongoing upgrade on myShearman. Also, the team will work with the firm’s Global Technology Services team to design, develop and build user-friendly but flexible platforms to store content and deliver it intuitively to our lawyers and business services staff in a timely and effective way. Oversee the intranet sites structure and content, including home page. Identify opportunities to bring additional content and communication into myShearman. Responsible for overseeing the intranets content governance and branding guidelines. Responsible for the information architecture and content quality in myShearman, ensure a consistent user experience. Build relationships with and gain the buy-in of stakeholders at all levels and actively manage communications with key stakeholders and user groups. Provide on-going training to content administrators and end users as needed. Monitor site usage and content administrator assignments. Provide support to content editors ensuring they have the knowledge, tools and skillsets required for their roles. Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and involve them in planning and problem solving. Work closely with Marketing Communications. Work closely with Global Technology Services and other stakeholders to define priorities for requests for new functionality and tools. Maintain a good understanding of industry best practice and new technological opportunities that can add business value. Explore the future use of social and collaboration tools for the intranet and its communities. Monitor and report on intranet usage.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor degree required; advanced degree such as a JD Degree or MBA preferred. 7 years in progressively responsible business development roles in legal marketing or other professional services firms. Significant experience managing pitches, legal directory submissions and the full range of legal marketing and business development services. Experience working in an international environment and across time zones. Significant experience managing and implementing intranets in a professional services environment. Project management experience. Strong leadership skills to coordinate and facilitate activities with colleagues. Experience as SharePoint 13 power user. Strong understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint. Strong knowledge best UX principles. Strong understanding of Information Architecture design for intranets. High level of comfort with social software and other web-based technologies. Keen interest in technology-driven innovation in the legal industry.
