Project Manager The candidate prescribes and manages clients' total company experience. Specifically, company seeks to employ individuals with long term, detailed, and first-hand knowledge of the software applications and workflows used within Forensic Data Acquisition, eDiscovery Processing, and Litigation Database Hosting. Will be member of the Client Services department. Will be responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined and met throughout the project. In addition, will be expected to mentor and lead teammates on cases, participate as a case team member, and participate with company leadership in departmental development initiatives. Possible locations for the role include: Washington D.C., Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Portland, OR. Will make recommendations to law firms and corporations for case support strategies; provide litigation support and discovery approaches and budgets; interface with and manage third-party technology vendors; clearly document all project requirements for the operations teams; and coordinate the initiation, planning, and execution of each phase of a project’s lifecycle. Responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined and met throughout the project. In addition, will be expected to mentor and lead teammates on cases, participate as a case team member, and participate with leadership in departmental development initiatives. Advise attorneys and litigation support staff on the appropriate level and nature of company involvement, specifically relating to document and information management from discovery to production. Serve as project leader on assigned cases. Develop cost-effective solutions for the collection and processing of hardcopy documents and digital content collection, organization, processing, review, distribution and production in connection with litigation matters. Ensure that all case content and document management functions are performed to meet the needs of the case teams. Coordinate internal and external case teams to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient management of document collection, processing, review, and production. Participate in the career and skill development of company staff, specifically within the Application support role. Coordinate with consultants, third-party vendors, and company engineers to ensure proper delivery of services to case teams. Identify, track, and provide recommendations regarding new legal technologies and related processes. Manage multiple concurrent electronic and paper discovery projects from project win to completion. Implement appropriate quality, accuracy, and completion control measures on all project deliverables. Perform other duties as directed by company or Client Services management.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have significant experience and excellent facility with MS Office and the various common litigation support database software tools. Should have 2 years’ experience in the litigation support, practice support, or paralegal area of an AMLAW 200 law firm or legal technology service provider. Must have 2 years of experience in a senior analyst or project management role. Should have significant experience processing data for litigation support databases. Must have in-depth understanding of the litigation process and common litigation support and discovery and e-discovery management procedures and concepts. Should have excellent communication (verbal and written).
