Associate Attorney The candidate will represent business clients in mediation, arbitration and litigation, including drafting of petitions, answers and all other documents and pleadings. Will support more senior litigation attorneys as second chair on larger matters; first chair with guidance from more senior attorneys on smaller matters. Prepare and draft agreements for oil and gas, commercial real estate, corporate and partnership documents (and disputes) and general business matters. Advise and negotiate on behalf of clients on general business matters. Participate actively in business development and community activities in support of the firm and individual practice. Should preferably have 1-3 years of experience. Should preferably also have civil litigation experience handling real estate, oil and gas, construction, partnership disputes, breach of contract, homeowners' association disputes and collection matters along with some transaction experience in commercial real estate, oil and gas, business transactions (including mergers and acquisitions and lending) and general corporate matters. License in Texas (other additional jurisdictions where oil and gas is produced a plus) is required.
