Employment Associate The candidate will be responsible for litigation strategy and management, legal research, legal drafting, and other litigation-related tasks for single-plaintiff and class action defense litigation, including issues of meal and rest period violations, failure to pay wages and/or bonuses, off-the-clock work, misclassification, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and wrongful termination. Will also conduct employment due diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions; draft and negotiate employment, termination/severance, and related agreements; and advise on reductions in force and other employee terminations. Other advice issues include restrictive covenants, employee mobility, compensation practices, commission plans, and leave practices. Must have 2-3 years of experience in labor and employment matters. Should have a strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws related to litigation, transactions, and advice and counsel. Must be admitted to the CA Bar.
