Junior Attorney The candidate will be managing day-to-day legal matters and correspondence; supervising outside counsel in litigation matters, including vetting and tracking outside counsel legal spend; negotiating and drafting commercial and residential business contracts; investigating facts and assist in setting strategic direction of for each legal matter; counseling on state and federal legal requirements; foreseeing and advising on legal risks to the company; tracking regulatory matters on both the state and federal level; advising on business related activities; researching case law, state code, and federal statutes; drafting litigation documents, including complaints, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, and discovery motions; and representing the company in court.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. from an ABA accredited institution; experience with consumer finance or other financial institution preferred; 2-4 years legal work experience; self-starter with a positive attitude and able to work independently; excited to problem solve and find new solutions to complex legal situations; communicate effectively with CEOs and others in top-level positions; exceptional organizational abilities; and problem solving abilities. ••
