Associate Litigation Counsel Candidate will join Southeast Regional legal group (which will consist of Florida, Georgia, Texas, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Delaware) and the national property management and asset management operations. Candidate will be responsible for investigating legal issues, interpreting laws and regulations involving varied substantive legal areas, including real estate brokerage, property management, contracts, regulatory compliance, and licensing. Representing the company and affiliated real estate agents in litigation, arbitration, mediation and regulatory proceedings. Providing risk-management training and continuing education.
Qualification and Experience
Applicant should have excellent academics. 5+ years of legal experience, preferably either with similar in-house legal experience or law firm experience is required. Membership in Florida Bar is required. Membership in Texas Bar is preferred. Litigation experience is required. Should have experience with/ knowledge of brokerage and property management licensing laws and regulations.
