Deputy Attorney General 2 DUTIES: Under the direction of Assistant Attorneys General, and the Section Chief of this newly created section, will be responsible for assisting in the work and supervision of a section dedicated to the provision of advice to client agencies regarding Open Public Records Act compliance and litigating act disputes. Will help supervise and coordinate all the act advice given to client agencies. With respect to high priority Act issues arising anywhere in State government, the Assistant Section Chief will assist in and may directly handle the provision of advice and litigate any disputes. Keep abreast of developments in public records case law and will help coordinate the provision of periodic updates and training on this subject to DOL personnel and clients. Will assist Deputy Attorneys General throughout the Division of Law with regard to OPRA-related questions. Will help supervise the Division of Law’s records custodian.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: Admission to practice as an Attorney at Law in the State of New Jersey. 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney, 1 year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
