PIP Managing Attorney The candidate researches laws and prepares legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda; renders opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department; prepares and handles pleadings, motions, and discovery, to include depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under oath; defends by trial, arbitration, or mediation all matters assigned, as applicable; adheres to the Code of Conduct, company policies and operating principles; meets attendance standard of the business location, to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with supervisors and co-workers.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must be licensed to practice law in the State of Florida; 7+ years of experience in personal injury litigation; demonstrate sufficient trial ability as the attorney with primary trial responsibility in cases of significant severity and complexity; must be able to travel to court, arbitrations, depositions and all other file related events; must also be able to travel out of state to attend regional and management conferences
