Supreme Court Central Staff Attorney Duties: Assist the Justices of the Florida Supreme Court in processing legal cases. Researching and analyzing legal issues, summarizing legal arguments, assisting in drafting opinions/orders and other Court documents, reviewing and proofreading Court documents, and performing related administrative functions. Works under general supervision developing work methods and sequences. Advise Court on extraordinary writ petitions and motions, Bar discipline/admission and rule/jury instruction cases, and various other duties.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Accredited law school graduate. Florida Bar member, awaiting admission, or sitting for next exam. Top 25% and journal experience preferred. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytic skills. Ability to work independently or with team; maintain large caseload; meet deadlines; work effectively with justices and staff; maintain confidentiality.
