Attorney – Insurance Defense Duties: Handle and manage litigation files from inception through trial. Prepare motions and memorandums of law. Prepare pleadings, discovery, demands and responses. Draft reports and provide file analysis. Handles litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established for Staff Counsel for Insurance Group of Companies.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Member in good standing with the Texas Bar Reliable transportation a must. 3+ years of insurance defense litigation background Strong research and written correspondence expertise and excellent work ethic required Multilingual (Spanish/English) a plus. Superior awareness and compliance with all applicable rules of professional conduct. Substantial background in insurance defense litigation (jury verdicts received, law and motion, appellate matters). Possesses comprehensive legal knowledge which promotes standards of professional practice and has thorough knowledge of litigation environment in state of operation.
