Special Investigations - Investigative Lead Duties: Will report to an SIU Manager. Will lead a small team of investigators and provide oversight on daily investigative activities. Will be accountable for all investigations conducted by team and will provide oversight and guidance throughout the life of an investigation. In addition to leading a team of investigators and analysts, Lead will also maintain a small case load, ensure the manager is aware of any major case developments, and ensure cases are being investigated according to company and SIUs standards.Is aligned to a segment dedicated to a specific line of business,and oversees specific geographic regions within that segment. Ensure investigators are managing cases effectively and in accordance with company and SIU policies, processes, standards, and procedures. Provide guidance to investigators as needed on investigative techniques, tools, or strategy Effectively investigate and manage complex and non-complex fraud allegations. Develop and maintain relationships with key business units within specific product line and geographic region. Work closely with the law department and outside counsel as needed on confidential or high-risk investigations. Testify in criminal and civil matters as needed. Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor's or Associates degree. 3+ years of investigative experience. (State or local law enforcement, FBI, CIA, DEA, Secret Service, OIG,General Accounting Office, MFCU, government agencies, corporate investigations, insurance company, law firm, accounting firm). 1-3 years of management experience. Successful track record in facilitating and managing projects and teams. Desirable Qualifications : Graduate degree and/or certifications (i.e., MBA, J.D., Masters in Criminal Justice, Masters in Forensic Accounting, CFE, AHFI, etc.). Experience in Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Understanding of healthcare industry, claims processing, investigative process, and auditing. Familiarity with company's various lines of business and products.
