Assistant General Counsel - Litigation The candidate should have law degree from accredited law school and completion of trial advocacy program coursework. Must have 5 years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney at a law firm with substantive experience handling complex civil litigation, such as class actions and MDLs, and proactive strategies for driving results over the entire lifecycle of a litigation matter, including preservation, early case assessment, budgeting, motion practice, eDiscovery, trial, ADR, appeals and case resolution strategy. Should have admittance to the Texas Bar (or ability to be admitted within 6 months). Experience in managing client relations/communications essential. Meaningful experience in engaging in early case assessment models and with developing and executing case strategy needed. Experience in health care and/or insurance litigation and/or complex financial litigation and/or litigation for other highly regulated industries preferred. Experience of handling regulatory inquiries or investigations and/or internal investigations desired. Substantive trial experience, preferably with some first or second chair responsibility preferred. In-house experience, including experience dealing directly with senior management and directly managing outside counsel and budgets plus.
