Attorney Duties: Will facilitate and negotiate settlement agreements and intellectual property license agreements; coordinate patent litigation teams including patent litigators, patent attorneys, local counsel and in-house counsel, in communicating and developing legal strategies in multiple forums; communicate with foreign clients, particularly Korean clients, regarding patent litigation and proceedings at the USPTO; manage and negotiate IP transactions including patent monetization; and lead new business development in Korea.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A J.D. degree with an emphasis in intellectual property or equivalent; Washington State licensed attorney; 2 years of experience in negotiating patent license agreements and settlements and in-house experience in managing patent licensing and litigation. 2+ years of experience in a business management position related to patent licensing and patent litigation in an international company; experience in working in and/ or with foreign companies; experience in corporate IP transactions. Familiarity with U.S. patent law, U.S. patent litigation, understanding of patent prosecution and post-grant proceedings at the USPTO as it relates to patent litigation. demonstrated ability to communicate with Korean clients; and experience in communicating with clients located in Asia, and particularly in Korea.
