Staff Attorney Duties: Provide support to senior professionals in the Legal Department in providing legal advice, recommendations, technical assistance and documentation to manage electronic discovery requests and processes involved in civil and regulatory requests, primarily supporting the Asset Resolution Group. Provide legal advice regarding the preservation, collection, early case assessment, review, and production of documents in connection with civil and regulatory matters. Provide technical assistance to accomplish the preservation, collection, early case assessment, review, and production of documents in connection with civil and regulatory matters. Manage e-discovery requests and projects, under supervision. Manage outside counsel in connection with e-discovery. Interact with company employees, electronic discovery vendors, outside counsel, and courts (as needed) regarding electronic discovery plans and efforts. Provide assistance and guidance to paraprofessional and support staff. Perform other litigation-related tasks and support other litigation-related functions.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: J.D. degree from ABA-accredited law school and licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one state or the District of Columbia. 5+ years of post-bar experience, equivalent education, work experience and/or related training. Experience with legal hold management, collection, review, and other technology and software related to e-discovery. Knowledgeable about evolving rules and case law governing e-discovery and a pragmatic approach to e-discovery issues.
