Mortgage Fair Lending Regulatory Analyst Candidate will perform investigations, reviews, and analyses to support MB Mortgage’s compliance with fair lending regulations. Communicate results and issues to various stakeholders in written reports and oral presentations. Develop and maintain expertise in fair lending laws and regulations and the impact on the mortgage division, and keep the fair lending team and business lines appraised of changes in laws. Assist in the development and performance of training and participate in risk assessments of MB’s Mortgage Division. Performs regulatory analyses including reviews, investigations, and assessments of processes, procedures and controls for business units and third parties and tests of bank performance relative to regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures. Communicates results and issues, both orally and in writing, to stakeholders and bank staff. Participates in the completion of risk assessments including reviewing policies and procedures, interviewing business unit and third-party personnel, and documenting and testing of internal controls. Develops and maintains expertise in current fair lending laws, regulations and trends, and the impact on the mortgage division. Educates team members and business units in response to fair lending enforcement actions, regulatory guidance, and industry fair lending litigation. Collaborates with SVP Fair Lending Program Manager to assess fair lending and compliance training needs and develops and presents appropriate training programs and materials. Maintains fair lending program documentation including fair lending policies and procedures. Completes required online training and attends webinars and teleconferences on regulatory changes. Promotes culture by living-out the cultural pillars (Integrity, High Performance, Customer Focus, Mutual Respect, Open Communication and Enthusiasm). Performs additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. 1+ years’ experience in fair lending compliance or related is preferred. Experience as a lawyer or paralegal is helpful.
