Litigation Attorney The candidate will work in all phases of federal and state civil rights lawsuits brought against public entities and employees, including initial responsive pleadings to complaints, written and oral discovery, motions for summary judgment, trial preparations and trial and/or trial assistance, post-trial motions, and appeals. The research-intensive motions practice requires a comprehensive understanding and application of evolving civil rights law, and associates must engage in extensive communications with clients, percipient witnesses, and expert witnesses. Must have 3-6 years of experience and high academic credentials. Strong research and writing skills are needed. Familiarity with federal and state litigation rules is essential. Familiarity with Section 1983 is a must.
