Min 5 yrs required
Litigation Counsel The candidate will be responsible for managing litigation and regulatory proceedings (e.g. product liability, false advertising/ IP, consumer class actions, commercial litigation, etc.), including pre-litigation dispute resolution, management of active litigation, responsibility for discovery and other litigation requests and procedures, review of pleadings and other court documents, and advice to the Senior Counsel and management on strategy and resolution of cases. Will be responsible for providing guidance regarding regulatory and risk management issues. Oversee the receipt of subpoenas and other information requests and inquiries from third parties, as well as provide risk management and other general advice to legal department, business partners and clients.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have strong academic credentials and law degree from a top law school. Must have 5+ years of relevant legal experience in litigation. Substantive knowledge and experience in litigation, including experience product liability matters essential. Familiarity with regulations relating to consumer products or consumer electronics needed. Experience with e-discovery issues, including document retention policies and procedures as well as collection, review, and production of documents essential.
