Legal Secretary Responsibilities : The candidate will provide lawyers with a high-level of practice group support and will be involved in the day-to-day management of clients and matters. Will be responsible for preparing, editing, and proofreading a variety of documents, e.g. correspondence, agreements, pleadings, spreadsheets and presentations. Will manage complex document production. Will also be responsible for maintaining calendars to include the coordination and scheduling of meetings, depositions, conference calls and handling all meeting logistics. Update the Docketing department on court deadlines. Will work with records and accounting on new business intake to request new files, client/matter numbers, and assist with the conflicts process. Assist timekeepers with administrative tasks related to attorney compliance requirements and professional organizations.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate should have a High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree or some college coursework preferred. Litigation practice group experience. 3 years of litigation secretarial law firm experience including state and federal eFiling. 2 years of administrative and clerical experience in a law firm or professional services organization supporting Litigation practice group. Basic knowledge in MS Word. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products.
