Counsel Duties: Play a leading role in supporting the intersection between the various legal disciplines supporting. Will integrate with privacy, security, sales and marketing, purchasing, litigation, public policy, and customer care. Will partner with business development, purchasing and business operations, and work closely with these clients to support the development and operation of connected automotive solutions around the world. Draft and negotiate commercial transactions supporting the business development and purchasing teams, with a particular focus on complex, technology driven transactions. Support program execution teams in the design, development, implementation and operation of products, services, systems and processes. Drive the development and implementation of common global legal processes, requirements and contract templates. Collaborate with global legal and business staff to ensure coordinated and compliant design and provision of connected automotive solutions.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Law degree and license to practice law in Michigan, or ability to obtain admission into Michigan State Bar within a year of employment. 3+ years of relevant legal experience, with strong commercial transactions experience and a demonstrated history of successfully supporting technology-focused clients. Ability to work collaboratively with the client and legal colleagues, resolve issues, and recommend solutions that are legally sound and support business needs and initiatives. Exceptional organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.
