Paralegal/ Senior Paralegal, Patents Duties: Will be a part of fast paced Patent department. Will work with a team of attorneys to support patent prosecution activities. This will include: preparing and coordinating US, PCT, and national stage application filings; coordinating international filings with foreign law firms; drafting document templates for U.S. Office Action responses and other PTO correspondence. Will be involved in all aspects of US and foreign patent filing. File Foreign and PCT applications; prepare and file IDS statements and status summary reports; assisting the patent prosecution attorneys with daily docket management and ensuring due dates are observed; review granted U.S. patents for PTA and proofread issues; drafting document templates for U.S. Office Action responses and other PTO correspondence; assisting with project workflow by obtaining and storing relevant electronic documents in the appropriate databases.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: 4+ years of patent prosecution experience with formal training in PCT requirements and paralegal certificate preferred. Docketing experience. College degree and paralegal certificate preferred but may be waived in view of highly relevant work experience. Formal training in PCT requirements and procedures is preferred. Must be able to assist attorneys in all correspondence to foreign offices, including filings, responses, formal requirements, IDS statements and all activities surrounding the grant process.
