Litigation - Foreclosure (Lender-side)

Legal Practice Assistant Duties: Assists attorneys and legal assistants in all phases and aspects of litigation and/or transactional work. Organizes and manages electronic and paper files. Assists with the preparation and court filing of pleadings and other court papers. Cite checks, Shepardizes, and proofreads briefs, memoranda of law, opinions and other documents. Assists with document productions. Assists with preparation for interviews, depositions, hearings and trials. Performs non-legal research using various research tools, including the Internet and court-related websites for case law, statutes, articles, books, etc.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor's degree. Related or other professional work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn additional software. Should be highly organized, detail-oriented, can effectively juggle multiple tasks, are flexible to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, and are able to travel on short notice. Outstanding academic performance, demonstrated success in a professional environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the initiative to assume a high level of responsibility in a fast-paced environment. Ability to navigate with various electronic databases and document repositories. Strong research skills and proficiency in using various research tools, including the Internet and court-related websites. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability communicate effectively. Ability to work independently or in a team setting. Ability to assume progressive responsibilities within assigned work as experience is gained in the position. Ability to handle confidential/sensitive matters. Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities. Ability to work well under pressure. Detail oriented. Ability to work overtime and to travel as required. Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating needs.
