Associate Paralegal Export Analyst Duties: Under the direction of the Associate General Counsel. Will be responsible for assisting attorneys and legal/export staff in drafting documents and agreements by reviewing submissions for completeness and content; preparing responses to requests for legal documents; reviewing and organizing documents for inclusion in an electronic document database; assisting in producing documents in litigation; assist in responses to government entity inquiries; and other legal tasks that arise in the day-to-day operation of the business. Under the direction of the company's Systems Manager of Export Compliance, will be responsible for export compliance matters for the business, interacting with employees at all levels and working both independently and with other members of the company's systems legal, Contracts and Compliance Department staff on a variety of export compliance matters. With the assistance of company's systems export compliance personnel. Will be responsible for assisting in the provision of export compliance guidance to company's personnel across the company; will prepare Department of State and Commerce export license applications, as applicable; will determine commodity jurisdiction, export classifications, and export licensing requirements for company's products and components; will track export license application status. Will maintain a database of granted export approvals and export classifications; and will satisfy U.S. export recordkeeping requirements.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: Junior Legal Manager/Associate Export Analyst with 0-3 years of experience will be considered. A BS degree ( preferably in Paralegal Studies or with Paralegal Certification). 3-5 years if experience in Manufacturing environment a plus. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus. Demonstrated interest in aviation and international business relations a plus. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills; and knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
