Real Estate Paralegal Candidate will research law, investigate facts, prepare documents and occasionally meet with clients to assist attorneys in the practice areas of Real Estate matters. Work effectively with attorneys and coworkers to provide superior service to all clients and to complete all assigned tasks with excellence. Prepare legal documents such as real estate contracts, buy-sell agreements, closing papers, deeds, and any documents related to real and personal property transfers. Monitor and review government regulations and other requirements specific to real estate. Investigate facts and law of case to determine causes of action and to prepare case accordingly. Research titles to real property to identify any issues that would need attention. Determine the appropriate documents and process needed to accomplish all real estate related requests from attorneys. Maintain document files and ensure the proper transfer to Records Management after project completion. Track billable hours as required. Cross train in various practice areas in order to assist as needed throughout the firm. Work closely with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal assistants. Communicate with clients on a regular basis. Interact regularly with other support and administrative staff throughout the firm. May communicate regularly with court clerks and other officials, legal service vendors, or opposing counsel.

Qualification and Experience

Candidate should have 5+ years’ experience in a legal environment and/or real estate field. Limited Practice Officer Certification or Paralegal certificate is desired or ability and willingness to obtain certification or experience that satisfies RCW 4 criteria for Paralegal status. Familiarity with legal databases, county websites, amortization schedules is needed. Working knowledge of ProLaw or similar Legal Documentation systems is required.
