Client Relations Coordinator Responsibilities: Will join the client relations team. Will be responsible for providing the tactical support in the execution of a wide variety of the Washington office marketing and business development initiatives. Work with departmental and regional client relations staff, as well as partners, to develop events that align with the business development strategy. Tasks include working with the lawyers in developing the action plans, coordinating the site selection, invitation, RSVP lists, marketing materials, on site support and follow up initiatives. Develop, coordinate and execute client events including, but not limited to, client dinners, client appreciation events, client presentations and seminars, industry/conference sponsorships. Coordinate and track client entertainment, sporting and event tickets and charitable events in region. Monitor Washington-based business development statistics and results for client development committee meetings. Develop research on target companies as needed collaborating with the library and client relations researcher. Draft and edit proposals for Washington-based lawyers. Maintain lawyer biographies working with the lawyers and the marketing team. Arrange photo sessions for Washington lawyers each fall and throughout the year as needed. Coordinate Washington-based information for the firm’s Intranet site. Maintain mailing lists for firm announcements and events. Oversee inventories of proposal materials, other collateral material and business gifts. Process check requests and accounting information for the department and maintain budget. Assist client relations manager with business development initiatives. Coordinate special projects as directed.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree. The candidate candidate should have 3+ years of marketing or related experience, preferably within a professional services environment and ideally within a large law firm. Should possess a mix of marketing and administrative skills. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong skills in written/verbal communication, organizational ability and prioritization. Should be comfortable interacting with firm leadership and key department personnel. Must be able to work well with lawyers and staff within the firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required; knowledge of relationship databases, such as InterAction, is preferred. Knowledge of web-based legal and business resources such as Monitor Suite a plus. Strong attention to detail and strong organization skills. Must be able to complete projects with tight deadlines. Flexibility is required to work overtime for event coordination and occasional special projects.
