Paralegal Duties: Play an integral role in ensuring the effectiveness and productivity of the Legal department. Manage a range of legal projects, which may include due diligence review. May assist with contract administration, record retention support and monitoring, policy and procedure development and administration. Assist with ongoing corporate governance for the organization and its operating subsidiary. Prepare initial drafts and redlined redrafts of various company materials including: marketing and corporate communication’s materials; corporate filings; agreements; statements of work; trademark portfolio; and the review of documents for consistent use of defined terms and accuracy of cross-references; Perform legal research projects and draft memoranda on various federal, state and local statutes.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate preferred. 4-7 years of experience in a law firm, in house corporate legal department (public company preferred) or relevant experience in a regulated institution. Experience maintaining legal file databases and corporate records. Extensive experience drafting/revising legal documents from templates, and preparing policies and procedures. Must have experience with contract management software systems. Ability to make recommendations and be up to speed on best practices. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once. Ability to effectively resolve problems and/or roadblocks, knowing when to escalate. Strong teamwork skills and proven ability to partner across an organization. Excellent communication skills and ability to interface effectively with stakeholders.
