Legal Secretary - Trial/Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Duties: Create and revise documents from dictation, handwritten, typed or electronic copy; ensure document integrity by producing virtually error-free documents without supervision; compose letters as directed; file documents electronically with the court; file paper documents and information promptly and accurately; maintain client confidentiality; assume responsibility for billing process; assist with special projects; cooperate as a team member with co-workers.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: H.S. diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; accurate typing skills of 50 wpm; 9+ years of legal secretary experience with extensive knowledge of litigation and trial procedures; superior word processing, legal document preparation and legal office technology skills; strong knowledge of federal court procedures and advanced knowledge of federal and state court rules; proficiency and strong Microsoft Office product skills, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer; strong organizational skills and customer service focus and skills; ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations; ability to use electronic filing, faxing, copying, scanning and other standard office equipment.
