Senior Paralegal Duties: Will assist and provide support to company's attorneys. Responsibilities include: maintaining contract templates, basic contract review and preparation, maintaining and organizing corporate records, litigation support, and managing outside counsel billing. Will provide administrative support, and support company policy efforts on a global basis in the areas of record retention and document management. Position will be required to work with company's business units and functional groups, and with internal and external counsel, both domestically and internationally. High level of support and management with time sensitive, highly confidential projects assigned to legal team. Support company policy efforts on a global basis in the areas of record retention and document management. Responsible for storage of all records in Scottsdale. Serves as key contact with offsite storage vendors. Maintain approximately 20,000 boxes; annual review of inventory to determine destruction according to policy. Review and approve monthly invoices. Coordinate storage with other company's offices and vendors nationwide. Maintain legal department file room. Ensures all files are entered into legal database for tracking and safekeeping. Assist Business Unit requests globally with regards to drafting and legalization of powers of attorney, sworn statements, certifications and other legal documents. Ensure company filings are made in a timely manner. Provide timely and accurate information to company board members and officers. Work under direction of an attorney to review and analyze contracts and maintain up-to-date contract templates. Support litigation activities through coordination of responses to subpoenas, document production, discovery responses, and coordination with external counsel. Coordinate with external counsel for registration and renewal of intellectual property. Maintain legal department filing system and manage daily administrative tasks essential to daily operations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal certificate. 5+ years in legal environment (law firm/in-house). Organizational knowledge. Proficiency with Software including Word, Excel, file management software. Excellent oral and written business English.
