Leasing Contract Specialist Candidate will assist Director of Leasing and Lease Negotiations Manager with all contract drafting, correspondence, administrative support and communications. Will be responsible for all document reviews and audits as well as research related to leases and other contracts. Responsibilities also include the drafting and tracking of ancillary lease documents to include assignments, amendments, terminations, SNDA agreements and estoppels. Will interpret lease provisions relating to maintenance and related responsibilities and draft correspondence for landlord maintenance requests. Review and audit all new leases for final approval prior to execution. Manage, draft and track ancillary documents related to leases. Handle drafting a for standard leases, assignments and amendments. Type and draft correspondence, standard form agreements, letters and other legal documents and communication for the Leasing Department. Provide administrative support to the Director of Leasing and Lease Negotiations Manager. Provide research related to leases and other leasing contracts. Interpret lease provisions relating to property maintenance and repairs. Various special assignments, projects and administrative tasks as assigned. Records and file management.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or Business Management/Administration is preferred. Should have combined 4-5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Lease Administration, Lease Contract Specialist, Paralegal, Property Management. Paralegal certification and/or Property Management certification (commercial) is beneficial. Must have in-depth knowledge of commercial lease contracts and drafting, lease administration principles and practices, property management for commercial and retail property. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience in a real estate management software such as Accruent is preferred.
