Legal Program Administrator Senior Duties: Provide administrative support to Company attorneys, and other Legal Department personnel as needed. Also serves as the primary focal point for administrative services supporting the Company legal program functions, including those concerning risk management, insurance, legal compliance, litigation, intellectual property and contract/lease issues. Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining (and creating as required) orderly files and processes needed to fulfill duties. Perform varied clerical, secretarial, and paralegal duties requiring knowledge of the legal terms and customs, courts, legal documentation, office routine, and superior organizational skills. Provide administrative assistance to attorneys, including preparation of correspondence, memoranda, reports, mailings, and presentation materials, schedule appointments and organize meetings and conferences, arrange travel and prepare expense reports, transcribe dictation. Screen telephone calls, directing other areas where appropriate, and prioritizing importance of calls. Respond to routing inquiries. Prepare documents related to routine projects and programs as well as presentation materials. Maintain files and administer Company legal programs (e.g., compliance, risk management or the like) and legal compliance programs, including fact/data gathering and interaction with both internal and external customers. Create and maintain a reasonable and retrievable filing and organization system for all duties performed by the position. Frequent contact with parent company corporate headquarters, outside attorneys, courts, legal and governmental agencies, administrators, fellow employees and Company managers, customers, and suppliers to exchange and verify information.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Associates degree in Paralegal studies or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Bachelors degree preferred. 7 years administrative experience. 4+ years of recent legal secretarial/paralegal exp in a large law firm or corporate legal department. Paralegal certificate preferred. 4+ years of recent legal secretary or paralegal experience in a large law firm or corporate legal department. Experience interacting with various departments within a company. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes as well as standard office equipment. Must be able to type at least 70 WPM. Excellent grammatical and communication skills, oral and written. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure.
