Legal Assistant The candidate will support a Business and Legal Affairs executive in the Legal Department. In addition to the usual administrative activities for a busy executive (such as scheduling, answering phones, preparing expense reports, handling business travel arrangement), would assist with department organization systems (charts, spreadsheets) and handle basic legal correspondence. Responsibilities: Phone responsibilities include answering calls, answering basic questions about the department and maintaining a call sheet. Maintaining schedule, arranging meetings, handling travel arrangements and itineraries. Preparing, submitting, following up on expense reports. Clerical duties include handling outgoing and incoming mail, and maintaining supplies and files. Updating various tracking spreadsheets and charts. Drafting legal correspondence.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have B.A. degree. J.D. is a plus. Should have 3-5+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a business and legal affairs department or at a private practice law firm, preferably in the entertainment industry. Must have familiarity with general entertainment industry contracts and procedures. Must be a quick learner who is proactive and needs minimal supervision and guidance with a proven ability to work in a fast paced/pressured environment. Should have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have high-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access for Windows. Should have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and provide attention to detail. Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all types of personalities and work styles. Professional demeanor and exceptional phone presentation and skills are needed. Should possess a proven ability to anticipate and resolve administrative issues or problems and follow-up and follow-through on all pending projects.
