Profile

Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst Duties: Will be responsible for using a consultative approach in developing, implementing and monitoring Privacy compliance programs that help to mitigate the risk to the clients, producers and the company. Take an active role in creating an environment of innovation, collaboration, transparency, accountability and trust. Works with home office and field personnel to develop, implement and monitor Privacy compliance programs in the distribution channels and operational areas that sell insurance products. Identifies and leads initiatives to resolve complex and/or sensitive business issues related to Privacy compliance which directly affect other areas of the company. Determines and communicates impact of these issues to other business units/companies. Serves as an expert resource to all divisional distribution channels and operational departments regarding privacy compliance, responding to technical and procedural questions and leads special privacy compliance projects. Responds to producer inquiries and issues, including coordinating privacy exams. Performs research of current and proposed regulatory changes and creates impact analysis that will be shared with the appropriate business areas and when appropriate coordinate changes to our Privacy policies and procedures. Communicates with areas affected by new laws and regulations and monitors to assure that necessary changes to policies and procedures are made. Assists operations compliance in reviewing and updating existing procedures, or creating new procedures, for the distribution channels and home office to ensure compliance with privacy issues and regulations. Acts in a lead role in conducting operational reviews of home office and third party administrator (TPA) procedures to monitor for compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 4+ years of Privacy compliance experience involving life insurance or financial services preferred. 4+ years experience in HIPPA compliance preferred. Experience working in a complex regulatory and compliance environment. FLMI and LOMA AIRC designation a plus.

Desired Qualifications : Previous experience working in a Legal or Compliance Department. Paralegal or Junior Attorney experience. Industry specific or professional privacy certifications. Prior program management experience in a team environment.
