Legal Assistant: Office of the Corporate Secretary Duties: Support to the Office of Corporate Secretary and Shareholder Services. Interact directly with members of the Board of Directors and Executive Management. Conduct all administrative duties for the office of the Corporate Secretary, including organizing and maintaining critical company files, calendaring, coordinating travel, drafting and/or editing letters, memos, and documents. Assisting with filings and reports with the SEC, NYSE, and other government agencies, as well as managing board meeting logistics and preparing meeting notices, agendas and minutes of meetings. Special projects will be assigned as needed.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: 5 years legal secretarial experience with a high school diploma/GED (college preferred) OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated proficiency in performing advanced administrative duties, high attention to detail such as expert proofreading, excellent judgment, great communication and organizational skills. Ability to comprehend, analyze and formulate creative, appropriate responses/analysis regarding moderately complex situations, research skills and the ability to produce timely and high quality work. Knowledge of legal procedures, issues, and terminology. Transcription and advanced level of computer experience in Windows environment, with high proficiency in Word and PowerPoint required. Position continually requires demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional client/customer service.
