Legal Secretary Duties: Provides highly skilled and detail oriented legal secretarial and administrative support for attorneys in the Law Department. Scheduling complex meetings and/or court depositions; calendaring court appearances and deadlines; transcribing for the drafting of various legal documents; reviewing documents for completeness, proper formatting, and typographical errors; daily processing of court filings, special actions, and petitions in municipal, state, and federal courts; conducting electronic research via the internet; preparing and mailing subpoenas; and processing and monitoring Civil forfeiture and abatement cases. Work is performed independently with little supervision.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of clerical experience in a legal setting, including training in typing and stenography. An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered. Only the highest qualified will be posted to the eligible to hire list. Deadline: December 29, 2014
