Paralegal - Contracts The candidate will supports the Legal department by drafting boilerplate contracts, reviewing intellectual property usage for compliance with licenses, and/or supporting regulatory functions by assisting with compliance reviews. May function as the primary liaison between discrete business units and the attorneys with respect to certain form agreements. Supports discrete business areas by drafting and reviewing boilerplate agreements and amendments; assists attorneys in drafting, reviewing and revising more complex contracts. Assists in maintaining department tickler systems, status reports, regulatory and operational licenses and corporate records. Assists attorneys in reviewing intellectual property usage for compliance with licenses and maintains intellectual property records. Conducts legal research. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established company’s policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High school degree or GED. Associate’s degree (AA) is required - Paralegal Certificate (Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university acceptable in lieu of a Paralegal Certificate). Bachelor’s degree is preferred - B.A. in Legal Studies or a related field. 2 years corporate legal or law firm experience required; 3-5 years preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
